Current Unacceptable Items at Resource Recovery Center

• Asbestos (ANY amount) 
  • MUST call Clay County Landfill and schedule a time for drop off. (218) 299-5079
• Yard waste larger than leaves/grass
  • Branches, twigs, stumps etc are not accepted at the RRC
• Oxygen tanks
• Propane tanks unless empty and punctured
• Hot ash (small residential amounts are accepted as long as they have been soaked and are cold)
• Fireworks unless they have been soaked in water overnight
• Explosives
• Sod
• Soil
• Clay
• Intact mobile/trailer home (need to be brought in pieces)
• Coal
• Straw and hay bales
• Railroad ties (unless cut under 3 feet in length)
